
Nitrogen treatment
The Collections Centre operates a nitrogen treatment facility; the gas is used to control animal pests. The chamber is for use primarily by the Collections Centre but, by arrangement and subject to availability, other museums and public institutions can pay a fee to use the facility to treat pest infestations in their own objects.
